Wind,and Big-Horn Sheep!…Overnight on Baldy!!!

Early morning ascent, had most of the Ski Hut Trail to myself…overnight on the summit, with wind and big-horn sheep. After a windy night, mid-morning decent on Devil’s Backbone with a cheat ride on the skil lift…because I was tired!

    Where did you camp? Mt Baldy is the one peak in the original Six-Pack that I’ve haven’t bagged as part of an overnight backpack trip.

    Thanks! I was resting at the Wrightwood wind break and the big horn just came over the eastern ridge. I was with him for about 1 hour or so…

    I camped in the trees below that particular wind break…it was extremely windy.

    My goal is backpack all eight peaks, the original Six-Pack before September …
