My friend Bob Gagle joined me on this hike.  We were training for Mt Whitney, so we decided to make a double header out of this trip and hike Baldy one day, then Cucamonga the next day.  They are close together, and they are a long drive from our homes in Escondido.  We decided to go up the bowl side of the loop, and down the Devil's Backbone.  It was pretty windy as we got near the top, but not too cold.
