The drive up to the trailhead was nice and it is always wonderful to see the hot air balloons decorate the sky. The morning was chilly but 15 of us shook off the coldness and started up the trail. The trail goes through the woods providing some nice shade with its tree canopy for a bit under a mile, then you get to the fire road which takes you straight to the peak. We did a tad bit over 2 hours to get to the top, took pics, ate our lunch but didn’t want to spend too much time at the top because it was very windy and cold. We completed our hike with a recorded moving time of just under 4 hours; and some of us went to have a nice meal at Bottega after. It was a great hike and the weather although a little cold. It was perfect.
