The hike was amazing with ample snow. This is by far my favorite hike of the 6 pack, mainly because I stay at Limber Pine every year. Limber Pine is by far my favorite spot to stay overnight, in the Los Angeles area. The sunset is always stunning and the night time views are spectacular. The trail up to the summit was pretty much covered in snow from limber pine to the peak. Climbed up along the creek channel (not recommended if you don't have at least an ice axe and crampons), which had it's challenges. Post-holing on and off to the peak this route, with some going knee deep or higher. All in all, a good exercise in climbing in snow and ice. Came down the standard trail and it was pretty clear all the way back down.
