This was one of my favorite Peaks so far this year. The ascent was somewhat gradual, with a beautiful forest surrounding it until you get closer to the top. Don't forget to look behind you as you climb as the breathtaking views seem to pop out of nowhere as you clear the tree covering. When we got to the peak, we found some geocaching logs and went ahead and signed in, then continued for a bit across the ridge toward Crater Peak.

Make sure to take the Route along the highway. There is a shorter way there that is a very washed out road only suitable for off-roading vehicles. If you stay on the highway route you will run into a perfectly decent gravel road that is suitable for any vehicle.

The weather was perfect for this hike so much so that we sat at the top for lunch. A sporadic rainstorm hit us on the way down which gave us some fun in the rain as well.
