Went up the foothills trail to Sassafrass mountain. Was good weather. We went the day after rain and it was a little wet and humid
Started off raining pretty hard this afternoon, definitely happy to have my hiking umbrella, as rain gear doesn't really work with how much I sweat
This trail started at the parking lot by Laurel Valley. After crossing NC 178, we entered the forest with a steady incline up. Very humid
For this hike, Chris and I (both 6POP challengers) were joined by our better halves, Mary and Abigail, and Chris and Mary's trusty pup, Birdie
