Maggies Peak - Lake Tahoe Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge

MAGGIES PEAKS – Elevation 8,659′ (2,650 m)

A steep hike that takes you past Granite Lake before offering spectacular views of Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, and the surrounding peaks.

Six-Pack Route Details: Granite Lake and Maggie's Peaks
Distance: 4.1 miles; Vertical +/- 1,778 feet

CASTLE PEAK – Elevation 9,098′ (2,773 m)

One of the most, if not the most iconic peak in Tahoe, Castle Peak. Can be hiked as a 9 mile loop along the PCT up to Basin Peak, then along an absolute stunning ridge line up to Castle Peak. You’ll get views of the rarely seen backside of Castle Peak where the spring bloom seems to be year round. Along the way, you get to stop by the Peter Grub Hut on the PCT.

Distance: 8.9 miles; Vertical +/- 2,332 feet

Mount Rose - Lake Tahoe Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge

MOUNT ROSE – Elevation 10,778′ (3,285 m)

Mount Rose is the tallest peak on the Nevada side of the Lake Tahoe Basin. You will loop around Tamarack Peak and earn great views of Lake Tahoe

Six-Pack Route Details: Mount Rose Trail
Distance: 10.7 miles; Vertical +/- 2,395 feet

Tinkers Knob - Lake Tahoe Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge

TINKER KNOB – Elevation 8,901′ (2,713 m)

Hike along the historic PCT and enjoy some of the best views Tahoe has to offer. You can take a rest and check out the Benson Hut along your way. Looking west, you see views of the American Canyons and the start of the American River.

Six-Pack Route Details: Tinker Knob via the Donner Peak Trailhead and the PCT
Distance: 14.5 miles; Vertical +/- 3,340 ft.

Martis Peak - Lake Tahoe Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge

MOUNT BALDY – Elevation 9,272′ (2,826 m)

Hike along the Tahoe Rim Trail and bag Martis Peak, while checking out the fire lookout, on your way to Mount Baldy. Once you reach your final summit you will enjoy 360 degree views of the  North Lake Tahoe area.

Six-Pack Route Details: Brockway Summit Mount Baldy Loop
Distance: 14.3 miles; Vertical +/- 3,021 feet

Mount Tallac - Lake Tahoe Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge

MOUNT TALLAC – Elevation 9,735′ (2,967 m)

You will pass by numerous lake while climbing Mount Tallac and have some of the best views in the area once you reach the summit.

Distance: 10.5 miles; Vertical +/- 3,274 feet

Freel Peak - Lake Tahoe Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge

FREEL PEAK – Elevation 10,844′ (3,305 m)

Freel peak is the tallest in the Lake Tahoe Basin. You will be able to look down on all of the other peaks of the challenge once earning your summit.

Distance: 9.4 miles; Vertical +/- 2,634 feet
