CASTLE PEAK – Elevation 9,098′ (2,773 m)
One of the most, if not the most iconic peak in Tahoe, Castle Peak. Can be hiked as a 9 mile loop along the PCT up to Basin Peak, then along an absolute stunning ridge line up to Castle Peak. You’ll get views of the rarely seen backside of Castle Peak where the spring bloom seems to be year round. Along the way, you get to stop by the Peter Grub Hut on the PCT.
