Hiked on September 30, though some weather hit during our hike. Trail to the Horse Camp was simple, and we enjoyed the Olberman’s causeway all the way from Horse Camp to the foot of the step hike of Helen Lake.

Mount Shasta is truly a strenuous hike. The weather said it was supposed to be flurries, but it snowed an inch or two through a major part of the hike. It was so wet that it got through my rain-resistant

This was a challenging hike! Very steep, sandy and unstable. But the views were incredible and the reward was worth it!
