I’ve hiked Mount Baldy many times from the Devil’s Backbone but never from the Baldy Bowl. It was a tough hike but so rewarding! Loved
We planned on doing Santiago Peak this morning, but the gate was locked on the Temescal side, and I wasn’t mentally prepared to go around
We started at 10:30am after dropping kids off at camp. Trail was in great shape. Hot day so we took our time. Lots of bugs
Trail condition was good, and still water was flowing well in stream. Flies were absolutely terrible after 8:30am.
The only thing that made this hike annoying were the bugs! Bug spray definitely did not work. Had to put a sweater and hood over
