Mount Baldy

Me and my daughter aged 13 decided to hike Mt. Baldy on July 4th as a training hike for our Mt. Whitney climb in mid

It was hot and sunny but I was prepared. Great hike with great company!

Up baldy bowl and down devil’s backbone. The restaurant at the top was open!

Difficult. Started late which did not help. This trail really forces you to push yourself. I saw several people taking breaks on the way up.

Started at Manker Flats at 5:30 am and went up ski hut to Mt Baldy, West Baldy, and then Mt Harwood via the Devil’s Backbone
