Mount Baldy

Good old Baldy! I have a long and complicated history with this one. I successfully summited on my first trip there in 2016 from Manker,

First time hiking this beast and didn’t feel like dying in the last mile. Felt amazing!

Started about 6:30 am.  Weather was beautiful!  We went counterclockwise, ski lifts to Devils Backbone to the peak.  Then came down the ski hut trail.

Trail was incredibly slippery due to off-trail hikers and runners.  This was in May though.

Great hike today.  Such a nice view everywhere you looked and the people on the trail were so nice.  I’d definitely do this hike again. 

I’m so used to hiking in the snow and colder conditions that I was surprised how warm it felt outside! It was a busy morning
