Mount San Jacinto

Arrived at Deer Springs TH at 6:30 am, geared up, and headed out solo heading North. The first few miles of the sandy soil trail

Weather is great. Still used crampons at the summit.  Bugs everywhere at Marion.

Took some navigating to find trail in a few snow covered areas at around 9800 ft  but managed to find the trail to the peak.

Perfect day to tackle this peak on Father’s Day! We got lucky enough to get 9:00 am tram tickets the day before! We hear that

Snow covering the trail made it challenging at times. Hiking poles are necessary, micro spikes would help near the summit.
