San Gorgonio

It was on a backpacking trip last Labor Day weekend when my friend asked, “How come we have never done Whitney?” It was a good

Made it to the top of San Gorgonio in July 29th on the 3rd day of backpacking. Left the backpack at camp at Red Rock

Hiked from Fish Creek Trailhead starting Friday and camped at Fish Creek Saddle Camp. Made it to the trailhead with my 06 Tundra….2 wheel drive.

First time at this peak and I loved it.  So many great views. I am planning on returning soon.

Started at midnight, got lost almost immediately 😀 Found our way back in about an hour.  Submitted around 11, back to the car at 4

Bugs were terrible on the lower mountain less of an issue at the top but still present. Hike took 11.5 hours, it was 19.46  mi
