Santiago Peak

Finally hiked the highest peak in the OC.

Trail steep, loose dirt, rocks and scree. Small sections with shade otherwise hiking in the open. Go early and there was water but not sure

Okay ya'll this peak just about killed me (lol).  So very tough. Steep hills very rocky and slippery.  Poles a must IMHO and start early.

Hard going up, brutal coming down. Take lots of water and trekking poles.
