Santiago Peak

Hiked with my college study group up Santiago Peak today, the tallest point of Orange County! We started at 7am, reached the peak at 1pm

The hike was great.  We had a cool start early in the morning and we had marine layer for a view.  We started on fire/access

I am hiking with my buddy from college to the tallest and the most difficult moutain I have ever hiked. This is the real training

Loved the hike until Main Divide Road; it was hot and dusty and seemed never ending.  The peak itself is not pretty but the views

The only way to do Santiago–via Maple Springs. You do need a high clearance vehicle to get to the TH unless you want to stop
