Santiago Peak

A little cold but great day for a hike.

Another great outing with Hike Beyond the Hills. Today we tackled Santiago and Modjeska Peaks via the North Main Divide Road and the adjacent trail.

The diesel fuel smell and dust kicked up by 4×4’s, motorcycles, and ATVs were a bit bothersome but it was an easy trail with nice

Beautiful hike above the clouds. Hiked all the way up on the fire road. Ton of dust from the cars, motorbikes, and bicycles passing.

The hike itself was not difficult, but the drive to the trailhead from Silverado side was challenging, as there was only one narrow dirt/rock lane

There's a 7 miles bumpy ride of dirt road to the trailhead, which requires AWD or high clearance vehicle. We took the side trail and
