Sawmill Mountain

Slept in Chula Vista campground. Started hiking around 8 am. Completed the triple Summit by 10 am. Beautiful views of Whitney and Central Valley!

Weather was perfect with a bit of nip in the air at the start of the hike.  We definitely took our time on this one

Did the 3 peaks Mt Pinos, Sawmill, and Grouse M awesome hike for that time of year, but i guess the lady bugs were hatching

Great day hike, pretty easy compared to most. Trailhead easy to get to and well defined.   Started hike from Mount Pinos substation

Trail was good, plenty of shade and no bugs to worry about. Had small patches of snow but nothing that required spikes.

Snow patches, but hot and exposed.
