2021 Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge Recap
Congratulations to all the finishers from our third annual Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge! Last week we held a virtual Finishers Party via Zoom, and shared some stats, played a little trivia, and gave away some great gear.
2021 By the Numbers
This year we had 303 challengers who logged 895 hikes in the challenge. Over 30% completed all six climbs, with 119 finishers! And so far in 2021 we've raised over $8000 for Big City Mountaineers!
Gear Giveaways
At the close of each challenge, we do a gear giveaway, with winners drawn at random. Congratulations to the following lucky finishers:
- William C. – Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks 1L Nalgene Bottle
- Louise T. – Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Hydroflask Insulated Water Bottle
- Gina B. – Petzl Headlamp
- Rodrigo U. – REI 20 Travelpack
- Lisa B. – Garmin inReach Mini Satellite Communicator
Finisher Patches and Certificates
We are mailing beautiful embroidered finisher patches along with a certificate of achievement to everyone on the official finisher list. Watch your mailbox for yours in the week ahead!
Finisher T-Shirts
We've put together a limited edition Finisher T-Shirt. The front side features the 2021 Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge logo, and on the back is a list of all the finishers.
First and second place in the Trivia Contest won a free finishers t-shirt! Congrats to Mahes and Lisa!
Finishers Party Video Replay
Take 10 minutes and browse through the hike logs from the challenge. Leave a comment or three. And remember, the summer challenge is now open, with six peaks at the higher, cooler elevations in Sedona and Flagstaff, including the Arizona highpoint: Humphreys Peak.
