I hit the trail at 5:35am to try to beat the heat on this 100 degree day and was lucky to be the first at the summit and had it all to myself… for all of 20 seconds when someone else joined me at the top… still quieter than I’ve seen it in the past. This time I did the hike solo which had me a bit nervous to climb some of those cable portions, and then worse, find my way down them.
