HOT, DRY, AND DUSTY! We got to the trailhead early, knowing that it was going to be a scorcher of a day. It was 87 degrees at 8 am. The trail is pretty open to the elements as you hike through the burn field. Once you get above that, you do some pretty amazing views. Didn't hang around long on top, it got HOT fast. There were a few snow banks that were slightly difficult to navigate. And once you reached the snow banks, the bugs came out.

Did you need any traction (i.e. micro spikes) for the snowfields? I’m headed back up there as soon as the temperatures cool down a bit.
The snow patch wasn’t that large, was a bit slippery because of the snow melt. The most difficult part was staying on trail, but there were several people who were ahead of us, so we.just followed the tracks. I don’t know when you are.going, but I can’t imagine that patch of snow will be there much longer.
