Recommend getting to the trailhead coming in from the south (rt 238). Dirt roads that are passable. It is a better ride with a 4×4 with clearance for sure, a regular car will be slow going.
We had the entire mountain to ourselves all day. Not another person even came to the trailhead. First 2 miles were steady uphill, last mile was more bouldering. Final climb to the peak was strenuous after 3 miles of climbing. View was spectacular. Lots of photo opportunities along the way. Round trip from the parking lot was 6.3 miles and just short of 2,500 elevation gain. A great hike on an out of the way trail from the normal.

Very nice! I love when I get a trail all to myself. I love your pictures!
