Made a reservation for the day online at https://www.loscoyotestribe.org/. $10 for a day pass which isn’t bad.
Alltrails review was not wrong. The first 2 miles of the trail is all up hill. A challenge but do able. The rest of the trail is quite nice. Had a nice surprise of remaining snow along the trail. At some points the snow was melting off the trees and it looked like snow / rain. Glad I wore warm clothes and brought my gloves because it was cold and foggy. It was magical though. 🙂
Unfortunately, couldn’t see the view due to the cloud cover/ fog but still enjoyed the eeriness of it. When I reached the summit, I used the ladder/ rope to climb to the top of the boulder (against my better judgement). It was a little gnarly so I took my time. Glad I didn’t slip and die! Lol
The hike was 10 miles and too me about a little over 4 hours.
Overall the trees and greenery was beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Challenging but do able. I will definitely come back again some day when the weather is more clear to enjoy the view at the top.

Great job! That snow looks intense, I’m glad you didn’t slip and die too! I hope you get to come back soon with warmer weather!
