It was hot and not a lot of shade. The first 2 miles were challenging for sure. The incline is pretty consistent. Overall, a good challenge hike but not the most beautiful. Definitely take lots of water (I drank 2L by mile 10), sun cover clothes & hat, and sunscreen.
