Arrived around 6:30 a.m. about 30 minutes after the sunrise. The sun was still hiding behind one of the hills for about the first 40 minutes, so it was nice and cool.
The sky was a bright blue with a few wispy clouds.
The ocotillo were blooming in red, and there was an abundant amount of yellow wildflowers along the trail.
On the ascent, I saw about half a dozen varieties of wildflowers.
At the peak, there were a few bees and bugs buzzing about. I found a spot situated near the far end, and was able to avoid them there.
Did the loop version — a short while after leaving the peak, there was a lot of loose gravel/rocks. Took some small, slow steps for a little while. Appreciated the wide dirt paths later on!
