My friend and fellow challenger arrived at the parking lot, next to the busy freeway, at about 9:20 AM. It was sunny, but didn’t feel the heat as the trail was mostly shaded and windy, especially about 4 miles to the peak. Elevation was gradual so you enough time to catch your breath! Saw a lot of bikers, a couple of backpacker, and some hiker! Was not a busy day at all! The coolest thing was to hike both California and Nevada!
