#4 of 6 : Mount Saint Helena

We hiked on a foggy mid-week April day.  Weather conditions were ideal for the challenging steep climbs and open trails. However, we missed all the beautiful views – Amy cases only seeing the peaks of Mount Tam, Mount Diablo, etc.

The first mile is a nice gradual climb till you experience the short, steep, rocky climb to the service dirt road.  Remember to turn left onto the service road – ran into other hikers who took the wrong turn.  We also took the advice of the other hikers to mark this trail so we didn’t miss it back down to the parking lot – it’s easy to pass by.

It was a beautiful hike overall.
