Overlooking Wine Country
Also on this hike
First one mile(ish) of the hike was a little tricky with varied terrains. I found that part worse coming back down than going up. Fire road for the remainder was easy walking and continuous uphill. For me, this hike was not near as hard as AllTrails reviewers would have you believe. Start early as it is fully exposed except for that first one-mile section. Gorgeous day and stunning views of wine country all around!
Maybe someone can take a compressed air can and try to blow out the caked-in dirt from the hard-to-read Robert Louis Stevenson “book” monument a short ways up from the trailhead…?
