9 Peak Challenge attempt.  Forsee Trailhead to Limber Pine Bench snow free … micro-spikes to Washington Monument…trail completely covered with snow …need GPS.   Storm hit at SB peak… needed to camp there for the night.   East San Bernardino and Anderson Peak the next day via GPS and ice axe and crampons …snow conditions  became to deep and mileage slow…hit Trail Forks Springs and descended to Jackstraw Springs for the night…

  1. Impressive to attempt the 9-peak challenge in snow! Beautiful pics on the divide. Looks like you were walking on the top of the crust. Did you have any postholing later in the day?

  2. Yes! That picture is of the ascent to ESB…we ended up postholing from ESB to Anderson Flats where we decided to descend to Trailforks Springs then Jackstraw Springs for camp.
