- I had a misplaced sense of confidence after doing San G last weekend. I was still slow. It wasn’t too hard, but I was wicked slow. Did Big Horn on the way back. I usually do it first from the Saddle, it’s been a while since I’ve done it from this direction. Going up was OK. There’s a new sign at the junction. Going down was steeper, looser and slipperer than I recall. I hiked alone all day, but of course as I crossed from the route down from Big Horn to the main trail I slipped and fell with witnesses. Nothing hurt but my dignity.
