Ontario Peak
After about an hour I wished I hadn’t done a long run on Sunday as I felt a little fatigued, but today was a great day for hiking as the temperature was very comfortable for hiking. Toward the summit of Ontario I realized that I had a great view of Mt Baldy and the hike that I had completed on Thursday. I could track my course along the top side of the bowl and down Devil’s Backbone. On the way back – just below the saddle – I came close to stepping on a rattlesnake (Picture Attached) It was just coming out from under a bush – luckily it was moving slow – probably looking for some sunlight to bask in.
Just a great day for hiking!
