For those looking to hike Mt Bachelor…they have decommissioned the trail from the Sunrise Lodge (still on Social Hiker).  They want you now to start the hike from the main lodge.  Parking is available so you no longer need to park along the highway.  AllTrails and a few other apps show where the trailhead starts.

    Yes, this update has been on my to-do list. Hopefully this week!
    I did lead a group hike up Bachelor (from the West Lodge) in July and have shared the GPS data for the route.

    I’m not a huge fan of the new route, but I understand why Mt Bachelor rerouted it. The parking is certainly better.
