Backpacking Black Mountain

Did this hike as an overnight backpacking trip, starting from the Monte Bello Open Space Preserve parking lot, hiking about two miles in to the backpackers camp. Set up camp and laid out our chairs to watch the sunset and drink some evening coffee. In the morning (after a freezing cold night in our tents) we packed up our packs and made the half mile trek to the Black Mountain Peak. From there it was about two and a half miles back to the car 🙂 First backpacking trip of the year done!
