Weather was perfect, sunny and around 60 degrees.  Since the parking lots are closed due to the virus we parked in a nearby neighborhood and walked to the Mitchell Canyon Staging Area. Our total milage was almost 17 miles with total vertical of 4668 per my Garmin.  We met a few hikers along the way and some bikers at the summit.  The hike directions were easy to follow!

Visibility was outstanding, we could see snow in the Sierra’s.  And the surrounding hill sides were all green.  Just beautiful.

We look forward to our next summit in a couple days, Mount Umunhum
