Been quite a few years since I hiked at/near Mt Tam, and as always I loved it. Weather was wonderful. Make sure you take the correct fire road leading from West Point Inn. Use the one directly behind the Inn that says to East Peak. The ranger recommended using Fern Creek Trail to get to the summit. It was in bad shape so we turned around and stayed on the fire road. Excellent day!
