Also on this hike
Biggest snow in the Silicon Valley hills in at least 20 years. Started in the rain at Rhus Ridge, at an elevation of 460 feet. Walked up into the snow, at Black Mountain summit, at 2800 feet. Got snowed-on, rained-on, and then some intermittent sun. 8 inches of snow at the top. Awesome experience!

Holy cow! That is awesome! Insane to see so much snow at such a low elevation. Thank you so much for heading up there and sharing these photos.
Any idea how long the snow might stick around?
Not sure, but I’m staying low tomorrow.
