Wildflowers blooming

Sunny day with some heavy winds on top of the peak.   Started at 6 am and made it the top after the endless switchback at 9:30.

Met 13 other people along the trail and the wild flowers are in bloom.   The last 2 miles to the trailhead is unmaintained road/wash that rough and rocky.  Would recommend a high clearance vehicle but 4×4 is not needed.

    I liked this peak. Lots of of wildflowers, but not nearly as much shade as one of the guides I read said there would be, so smart move starting early!
