We avoided the smoke and heat for a gorgeous but grueling hike to Camp Muir.  Not much glissading, and the heat made the snow super soft.  But a great day!

      We got lucky! The smoke started clearing on Sunday and was mostly gone on Monday, but we could see the fire from the snow field.
