Chasing the Sunset – First Peak of the weekend and the challenge

Great start to the Central Coast Six Pack of Peaks Challenge. I met up with my friend Laural at about 4:28pm. Perfect weather for today’s hike. Lot’s hikers on trail. Mostly college students arriving for the start of school. This was a moderate 4.1-mile hike with 1,336 feet in elevation gain. We took right around 2 hrs to get up and down. Tons of poison oak at and near the summit.
