Corte Madera
This was the day that I needed to do two mountains in one day. I arrived at Corte Madera trailhead in the morning after camping at Lake Morena campground. One thing I noticed that struck me as impressive was the massive pinecones. Bigger than my whole hand. I once again noticed humongous boulders, and the Manzanita trees are absolutely beautiful. the trail itself was narrow and the low bushes with rigid branches cut up my thighs a bit. Oh well, nothing terrible. The rock formation close to the top was neat, the almost purposeful split right down the middle. I was stoked to see a wooden peak sign to take pictures, that’s one thing I’d like to take back to Alaska with me-the practice of finding the sign and taking a picture with it! So cool.
