Cuca, we did it!

What a hike – the climb to Icehouse Saddle is steep and consistent. It does feel really good to reach it. But, after the Saddle the real work begins. Initially the trail flattens out and even goes downhill but the final mile up to the Peak is very, very steep. It takes strength and willpower to push through and stay focused.
We hiked on a pretty hot day so it feels like that made it much harder also.
The Peak is very rewarding, beautiful views and just absolutely stunning… It felt to good to complete it. We left a beautiful Summit Sign up there – enjoy it!
Are you the guy that makes all those signs at the peak? Do you draw at the peak or do you take it up finished?
Yes that’s us! We make them ahead of time – it takes about 60-80 hrs to paint a sign. We then bring them up to the Peak for all of you to enjoy!
