Cuyamaca’s to the peak longer trail route way better then the asphalt

Beautiful day, light winds. Still some water running down parts of the trail. Few rocky sections but nothing to hard. We took teh longer route up way nicer and more relaxing then going up the asphalt way

Saw a few hikers that didn’t know about going up by the tower to retrieve the peak sign for a picture, They stopped were the asphalt ended by the tower. Did let them know how to get up there
