Diablo Six Peaks Loop

Did the Diablo Six Peaks Loop b/c I wanted to start the year w/ a big one, and have it count towards the challenge. It rained most of the day, but there were still a bunch of trail runners & hike heads out getting their first peak(s) of the year.

Did it counterclockwise, starting with Mitchell Rock, ending with Mount Olympia. I thought Olympia would just be some hill at the end, but it turned out to be a legit mountain with crazy views.

Started at 7:09am, back to the car at 4:13pm. I parked on Regency b/c the Mitchell Canyon parking gate was closed when I arrived at 6:40am. Most of the street had ‘parking permit required’ signs up. I went further back to a section that didn’t, right by Rialto Dr., and didn’t have any issues.

This one was tough b/c the rain, elevation, distance, and my eating habits during the holidays >_<
