Early and hot

Our group arrived in the dark…3:30am and we started with our headlamps on.  Got a bit turned around in the beginning but found our way quickly. Was a good thing it was in the dark because when we were finished and back at the parking lot…we looked up and thought; wow we just did that!!!  Nearly 14 miles and so hot coming down.  Bugs were awful along the way.  The view from the summit was beautiful at the towers and we had lunch on the picnic tables.  Very nice clean summit.  The fire watchers were there in the tower-arrived after us.  Saw lots of lizards and the smoke from the Apple fire in the distance…
