We started the hike around 5:30pm and went up Baldy Bowl Trail. The hike was nice. Challenging at times with the altitude gain. We made it to the summit around 11:15pm and camped at the peak. Woke up to an Easter morning Sunrise. Very little wind but some breeze which made it a bit chilly but comfortable. The altitude made it very challenging to sleep. The next morning after a beautiful sunrise we hiked down devils backbone trail. That trail is very challenging going down but beautiful views. Made it down by about 11:30am.

  1. Congratulations! It’s wonderful when you get to see the sunrise at the top of a mountain. You said it got cold (no doubt!), but how was the wind? Every time I’ve been up there it has been so windy.

    1. Thank you! Luckily the wind wasn’t bad. It was pretty perfect conditions honestly. I went there with my boyfriend who also mentioned how windy it could get. He was surprised with how mild it was.
