Four Paw Drive up Manitou Incline

Hiking up the Manitou Incline was so fun! Every day is leg day! The incline got steep enough near the top and my knees were tired so I decided it was time to switch into Four Paw Drive! I stowed my poles, put my gloves on, and scrambled up the final few hundred steps. What a treat!

The trail up to Rocky Mountain was fairly washed out at times but still wide and flat enough to pass. Near the peak the trail becomes almost imperceptible. The huge rocks and dense wooded area made me feel like I had stepped into Middle Earth!

“Look, Mr. Frodo! Bilbo’s trolls!”

Gorgeous view of Pike’s Peak from up there too. My knees were thankful for the Barr Trail on the way down!
