Gray Skies on Black Mountain

We started this hike around 11:30am and were back at the cars by 2:30pm. Once you’re out of the woods, there are amazing views of the Santa Cruz mountains all the way to the top of Black Mountain. The peak is a little underwhelming because you can see the same views of the mountains as you did on the way up but you can also get a nice view of the bay. There were a lot of mountain bikers out today, so we were pausing off to the side of the trail quite frequently, but everyone was considerate and polite, and no one got ran over, so everything was fine. 😉
