Beautiful hike. So many wild flowers in bloom. We saw a huge rattlesnake in full coil and tail rattling. We steered clear of course.
The weather was perfect. The last mile is completely paved and a bit steep but doable.

    Beautiful wildflowers!

    I led a hike in San Clemente and we saw five rattlesnakes in five miles. Still unnerves me when you hear the rattle before you see the snake.

      I’m pretty sure I used to hike with you in OC. I lived in San Clemente 11 years ago and hiked nearly every day in 2012. I belonged to the Meetup Group for OC.
      Crazy about the rattlers!
