A nice, cool, foggy start just after sunrise, leading to a beautiful sunny day. I really enjoyed this trail from Sierra Madre, well maintained, clean, and just the right amount of people on a Monday. It was awesome exploring the museum and telescopes at the summit. Felt good so I jogged down which was great until I rounded a bend and spooked the neighborhood bear! When it saw me it lumbered up after me for a bit and I set an uphill speed record for a couple hundred meters. Luckily it made it’s way back into the draw so I could finish my jog.
An exciting way to finish off the 2024 SoCal Six Pack of Peaks!

Got to see a bear on Mount Wilson!
I’d imagine that’d make the heart pound a bit.
But still, getting to see a bear on Mount Wilson, quite the memorable moment.
