Amazing winter hike, however it has gotten hot today so I had wished that I started early. Kings Canyon trail is rocky, but well maintained, however if I had taken it down it would have to be slow. Instead I took the long way down via Hugh Norris trail and it was amazing sandy trail with low grade slope. Plus the breeze kicked in in the afternoon and it was overall pleasurable hike down.
